- The Mauser Karabiner 98k is a bolt-action rifle that served as the primary German service rifle from the mid 1930's until the end of WW2 in 1945. It continued to see use throughout the 20th century and is held in high regard as one of the best bolt action rifles of all time.
- Exceptionally solid construction, with real wood stock.
- This model is a shell ejecting version, perfect for back garden plinking or collectors!
- Very heavy just like the real steel, coming in at 3.5kg.
- Metal components include the barrel, front sight assembly, front and rear sling attachments, trigger guard assembly, bolt handle, and the entire upper receiver and rear sight assembly.
- Spring powered operation, so no gas or batteries required. Bolt is smooth to pull back and then stiffer at the final part of pushing the bolt forward to prime the spring.
- Feeds from an internal magazine which holds up to 5 shells, loaded from the open bolt, each dummy round can be loaded with a single BB. Each time the Bolt is cycled, a round is stripped from the magazine and chambered. When the trigger is pulled the piston is released and sends the BB down the barrel.
- Hop is adjusted via the screw underneath the rear iron sight, use a flathead screw driver.
- Thumb-over safety can be found on the bolt assembly, which will prevent the trigger from being pulled when activated, it cannot be moved unless the bolt has been cycled.
